Around the house

I've been totally lame about taking pictures lately - sorry! We've been doing lots of fun stuff, promise!

Carmen's been in swimming lessons and is doing really well. Here she & Nate Lee do the crocodile crawl...





In completely unrelated news, this is how Carmen sleeps. I snapped it at midnight last night.



Carmen's almost as tall as Nate now and is about 2 lbs. lighter. Like any good younger sister, she brutalizes him on a regular basis. He takes it well though :)

Nate's started T-ball and he's really excited. Practice was rained-out yesterday, so today we took to the field to do some batting practice.

Carmen's turn. Nate is kind enough to play catcher.



There's only one problem with Nate playing catcher. His return throws are not accurate. This one glanced off the back of Carmen's head (don't worry, it's a rubber ball). Choking back my laughter I console her. She gets over it pretty quick.



Carm tries again.



Again, Nate beans her in the back of the head with the ball, but this time I laugh so hard that she can't help but join in. I guess it doesn't hurt that bad after all!



And like any good big brother, Nate points and laughs at her.

President's Day tripping

Spartan Gym

Today we checked out Shoreline's Spartan Gym for a bit of indoor fun. It's an open gymnasium filled with toys, balls, and lots of other kids.

I have no idea what kind of face Carmen is attempting to make here, but it scares me.



Ever the ringleader, Nate gathers up a group of other boys to play an impromptu game of "tip the mat".
